For the first time, visitors can walk through four completed display homes and experience the homes, neighbourhood and vision that have been taking shape behind the scenes. It's an important milestone for ReGen Living, but more importantly, it's the first opportunity for people to experience something that until now has only existed in plans, artist impressions and imagination.

Buying a home has changed dramatically over the past decade. Most people begin the journey online, comparing floorplans, scrolling through galleries, watching walkthrough videos and researching every possible inclusion before they ever decide to visit in person. While those tools have made it easier than ever to narrow down the options, they can only take you so far. They can't tell you how a room feels when you're standing in it, how the natural light moves across a vaulted ceiling during the afternoon, or how seamlessly one space flows into the next. They can't capture proportion, atmosphere or the confidence that comes from knowing a home simply feels right.

That's why display homes still matter. They're not about replacing research. They're about completing it.

Seeing the details that plans can't show

The homes at ReGen Living have been designed around a simple belief: thoughtful design should improve everyday living, not simply look impressive in a brochure.

It's a philosophy that becomes apparent within moments of stepping through the front door. Spacious entries create an immediate sense of arrival, while vaulted ceilings lift the living spaces, drawing natural light deep into the heart of each home and creating a feeling of openness that's difficult to appreciate until you're standing beneath them. Square-set cornices reinforce the clean architectural lines, oversized bedrooms offer flexibility beyond simply accommodating a bed, and carefully considered storage has been integrated throughout the homes to support the realities of everyday life rather than the assumptions often made about it.

Visitors regularly comment that the homes feel larger than they expected. That's not because they've been designed to maximise floor area at any cost, but because every square metre has been carefully considered. The spaces feel generous without being excessive, comfortable without feeling oversized, and refined without becoming impractical.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive

Since opening the display village, a steady stream of visitors has walked through the homes, and while every conversation is different, the feedback has been remarkably consistent.

The quality is almost always the first thing people mention.

Architectural features such as the vaulted ceilings and square-set cornices consistently attract attention, but it's the overall feeling of craftsmanship that leaves the strongest impression. Visitors notice the proportions of the living areas, the amount of natural light, the quality of the finishes and the sense that every decision has been made with purpose rather than simply to satisfy a specification list.

Rather than asking which home is available, visitors begin considering which design feels right for them, whether they entertain often, want space for grandchildren to stay, enjoy a dedicated hobby room or simply value a more open connection between indoor and outdoor living.

Choosing a home becomes a considered decision rather than a compromise.

Designed around the way people actually live

For many Australians over 55, moving home isn't about reducing their expectations. It's about creating a home that's better aligned with the way they live today.

That thinking sits at the heart of every ReGen Living home.

Instead of beginning with assumptions about downsizing, the design process focused on understanding what people genuinely value: homes that are easy to maintain without feeling smaller, living areas that encourage connection without sacrificing privacy, kitchens that become the natural gathering place when family visits, generous storage, direct internal garage access and bedrooms that provide enough flexibility to accommodate changing lifestyles over time.

Premium appliances, stone benchtops, flooring, window furnishings, heating and cooling all come as standard, ensuring the home visitors experience is remarkably close to the home they'll ultimately move into.

Backed by more than 70 years of experience

ReGen Living has been created by Oliver Hume, one of Australia's most respected property groups, with more than seventy years of experience helping create communities where people genuinely feel they belong.

That experience extends well beyond building homes.

It influences how neighbourhoods are planned, how streets connect, how open spaces encourage interaction and how communities evolve over time. Rather than treating homes and amenities as separate ideas, ReGen Living Waurn Ponds has been planned as a connected neighbourhood where each element contributes to the overall experience of living there.

It's a level of long-term thinking that provides confidence, particularly for homeowners making one of life's most important decisions.

A community that extends beyond the front door

The home itself is only one part of the decision. Equally important is the life that surrounds it.

Plans for ReGen Living Waurn Ponds include a private homeowners' clubhouse featuring an indoor pool and spa, steam rooms, a fully equipped gym, cinema, wine room, café and business lounge, alongside beautifully landscaped walking trails, recreation facilities, edible gardens, creative spaces and the Lakehouse wellbeing and creative hub.

These amenities haven't been included simply because they're expected.

They've been designed to encourage the kinds of everyday interactions that help communities thrive, whether that's meeting neighbours over coffee, joining a fitness class, working on a creative project, tending a shared garden or simply enjoying a walk through landscaped open space.

The intention has always been to create somewhere that supports independence while making connection feel effortless.

Designed for today. Built for tomorrow.

Good homes don't simply look beautiful on the day they're completed. They continue performing for decades.

Every ReGen Living home has therefore been designed to achieve a 7-Star energy rating and includes solar panels, EV-ready infrastructure and accessibility features that quietly support comfortable living as needs naturally evolve over time. Independent construction inspections throughout the build process, together with a Lifetime Structural Guarantee*, reinforce the commitment to quality that visitors experience when walking through the display homes.

These aren't additions. They're part of designing homes with longevity in mind.

The best way to understand ReGen Living is to experience it

Words can describe craftsmanship. Photography can capture beautiful interiors. Floorplans can explain dimensions. But none of them can fully communicate what it feels like to walk through a home that has been carefully designed around the way people actually want to live.

That's why opening the display village matters.

It gives people the opportunity to slow down, compare the four home designs, ask questions, picture their own furniture in the spaces, and decide, without pressure, which home genuinely feels like the right fit.

The display village is now open at 45 Danaher Avenue, Waurn Ponds.

Whether you're actively planning your next move or simply beginning to explore what's possible, we'd love to welcome you and show you through.

Why More Australians Are Choosing Homeownership Without the Land (And Without the Costs)

There was a time when owning land was seen as the gold standard of financial security – a milestone to aim for and hold onto. But over the years, the realities of land ownership have shifted. What once promised stability now often comes with rising rates and escalating maintenance. And for many Australians, particularly those in their 50s, 60s and beyond, those costs are no longer worth carrying. That doesn’t mean giving up on ownership. It simply means owning differently.
